What we do

Restoring health is more than just removing disease

Jo Clouden, Physiotherapist

C Wellness delivers physiotherapy care and cancer rehabilitation programmes.

We aim to support and empower you, with consideration for your energy levels and stage of cancer. Our mission is to support healthy lifestyle choices; especially the benefits of regular physical activity to people affected by cancer. Why? Because exercise is the number one treatment for reducing the most common and debilitating side effects of cancer.

We work with each client to create a rehabilitation programme to suit their particular stage of recovery. We liaise with the oncology team to ensure safe interventions that customise health solutions to the needs of each client and those of their family.

In your first session we listen to you, find out what matters to you, then discuss a plan of activity and physiotherapy care which works towards these goals. Sessions may include:

  • exercise prescription
  • individualised clinical pilates
  • graduated resistance training
  • hands on physiotherapy
  • fatigue management
  • breathing retraining or relaxation

Joanna is a certified PINC and STEEL physiotherapist. Each programme developed is individual with the aim of helping people heal as well as possible, and function at optimal levels through every stage of their treatment and recovery.

We provide staged care from pre-operative prehabilitation services in anticipation of upcoming cancer treatment, through post-op or active cancer treatment, where our focus is on improving energy and maintaining health during cancer treatments. Improving strength and stamina may reduce time off work, muscle wasting and improve daily function.

If your treatments have been completed, our fitness and survivorship phase, aims to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility to increase endurance, elevate the metabolism, improve muscle tone and body composition – all helping you to live your best life, in the now.

We make meaningful improvement to the lives of people
through effective exercise medicine.
